Santa Clause is Coming to Town

as soon as birthday stuff was over it was time to move on to Christmas. jack has been singing "jingle bells" for weeks, now he also sings "he sees you when you're sleeping," along with whatever song is on at the store or radio. he's kind of just into singing right now. he says sings me rudolph. we got to visit santa twice. once at joe's christmas party and once at the mall. he was equally into to both. he wanted to tell santa about the pretty lights and ornaments. he says he wants a trackhoe for christmas, but neglects to tell santa because he just wants to talk to him. i can't wait to see what he does. i imagine after the birthday party experience, he will open the gifts not caring what's in them and want to open another. and then he hid underneath his bed the whole next day. so we'll see.

Jack Turns 2!

jack got to celebrate his 2nd bday several times. once at my grandma's with my family, once at Dos Primos (on his birthday) and for the finale a party at our house featuring his favorite monster jam trucks! we had a really good time, eating tacos, then cake and ice cream. the kids all had fun playing with the magnet set. jack was very, very tired at the end of the night. we were so glad to have all our guests!

Can We Build It? Yes We Can!

Halloween was a very good time for us this year. jack actually got a concept of what was going on. on the night before Halloween he kept telling my mom "i get treats," I say knock, knock, trick or treat." On Halloween he woke up and said i dress up now. i said we had to wait until daddy got home and he was ready! He was Bob the Builder and when you asked him who he was he would say, "he says 'can we build it? yes we can." it was so cute. he's still saying it a week later. we got to see grandma and grandpa "baper", mama and bopbop, and a few of their neighbors, also Wendy and Steve and our friends, Brianne and Keegan. Jack thought the glow necklaces were great and used them as a sword anytime anyone came near him. on saturday morning he said "we go Halloween again."

We also went to cousin Layne's 1st birthday party on Saturday. jack loved playing with the "kids" as he calls them.

Jack's Boots

jack has just discovered that he has "rain boots" as he calls them. he wants to wear them everywhere, which isn't that big of a deal to me, but his daddy thinks otherwise. i let him go to the grocery store, wal-mart, out to lunch with daddy, to PaPa "Baper's"(Baker's) house, and he wore them to go see MaMa Ree and PaPa Rick's the other night. Joe was mad because i won't let him wear his boots to all these places. i told him i didn't mind if he wore his boots to my grandma's, but he doesn't look nearly as cute as jack. I'm sure jack will thank me for these pics. later.

Pumpkin Patch

On Friday (10-17) jack and I went to Eagle's Fork with Brandi and Brooklyn. this was our 1st pumpkin patch adventure. jack is really into pumpkins this year. everytime we even go to wal-mart we have to go look at the pumpkins. jack and brookie had a fun time climbing on the pumpkins and getting a little dirty. all day whatever one did so did the other. if brookie had to go potty jack said he had to go potty. if one climbed on a pumpkin so did the other. they were so funny to watch! I can't wait to scrapbook these pictures!
